The Educational Technology Center is located on the ground floor of McCain Library and is home to the Educational Technology group, which includes three full time technology professionals and several part time student aides.

The mission of the Educational Technology Center at Agnes Scott College seeks to:

· Build awareness of how technology can enhance teaching and learning
· Provide faculty and students with the support and training they need to learn and use technology effectively.
· Foster collaboration of educational technology initiatives across disciplines and divisions and assess the impact and effectiveness of those initiatives.
· Research and experiment with innovative Educational Technology tools.
· Cultivate creative environments for teaching and learning

The Technology-enabled spaces within the ETC include, The Technology Production Studio (G-43), a language learning classroom and lab (G-11), a multimedia classroom with laptops (G-48), staff offices, and a service desk to checkout media equipment and request assistance.

The Technology, Education, and Copyright Harmonization Act (TEACH Act) is now law. TEACH updates copyright law pertaining to transmissions of performances and displays of copyrighted materials. Such transmissions are critical to current higher education distance education efforts, including online courses.
