The Educational Technology Center is located on the ground floor of McCain Library and is home to the Educational Technology group, which includes three full-time technology professionals and several part-time student aides.

· to build awareness of how technology can enhance teaching and learning
· to provide faculty and students with the support and training they need to use technology effectively
· to foster collaborative educational technology initiatives across disciplines and assess the impact and effectiveness of those initiatives
· to conduct research and experiment with innovative educational technology tools
· to cultivate creative environments for teaching and learning

The technology-enabled spaces within the ETC include, The Technology Production Studio (G-43), a multimedia classroom with laptops (G-48), staff offices, and a service desk to request assistance.

The Technology, Education, and Copyright Harmonization Act (TEACH Act) is now law. TEACH updates copyright law pertaining to transmissions of performances and displays of copyrighted materials. Such transmissions are critical to current higher education distance education efforts, including online courses.
