Place your photo/image face down on the scanner bed.  Make sure it is lined up straight and lies as flat as possible on the scanner (placing it in a corner of the scanner bed often lines up photos nicely).

Double-click the Photoshop icon located on the computer desktop.

With Photoshop open, pull down the file menu and select
Import.

You will see a list of import        devices - select the flatbed scanner connected to your computer.
