Checking Out Equipment

All equipment can be checked out at the circulation desk on the ground floor of McCain library. Available equipment includes video cameras, digital still cameras, tripods, tape recorders, slide projectors, overheads, data and video projectors, CD and tape players.

Checkout procedures are as follows:

  • Students must present a valid ASC I.D. card and a signed Permission Request Form. This document requires a faculty signature authorizing the use of media equipment for classroom-related projects or functions. This form is also available at the circulation desk on the ground floor of the library.
  • Equipment cannot be reserved in advance and loan periods vary depending on the type and popularity of the item.

Late fees will be charged on all overdue equipment.

The Technology, Education, and Copyright Harmonization Act (TEACH Act) is now law. TEACH updates copyright law pertaining to transmissions of performances and displays of copyrighted materials. Such transmissions are critical to current higher education distance education efforts, including online courses.
